Venue

The GI4DM workshop will be hosted together with ISPRS Technical Commission III mid-term symposium , on the facilities of UFPA (Universidade Federal do Pará), in the city of Belém, capital of the state of Pará and major city of the North coast of Brazil.

It will take place in early November, during the dry season. Rain is rare and the weather conditions are pleasant, which will make it possible to organise excursions to discover the fascinating landscapes of the Amazon.

The Benedito Nunes conference hall can seat nearly 1,000 people, ideal for plenary sessions. Adjacent facilities will host an exhibition as well as lunch and coffee breaks. Several nearby amphitheatres will be used for parallel sessions.
